IU Health Saxony Hospital
Indiana University Health Saxony Hospital includes a 250,000-square-foot hospital and a 120,000-square-foot medical office building buffered by trees, water features and a healing garden. IU Health opened the 42-bed acute-care hospital and office building on December 1, 2011. As the first specialty hospital in the area, IU Health Saxony Hospital provides advanced cardiovascular, orthopedics, spine care and emergency services. A $300M expansion that began in 2022 will include an addition of Riley Children's Hospital Health pediatric emergency department, add 38 inpatient beds, and a host of expanded services in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Earm Nose & Throat, Nephrology, Neuology, and Pulmonology. Completion is slated for 2025.
